In our sophomore year of high school, Amatul and I organized a small, school-wide event for Muslim Women's Day. We noticed the lack of understanding surrounding Muslim women; we decided to combat that. About 50 people signed up that year and the experience was incredibly rewarding. We were not able to organize the event last year due to the pandemic, but this year we're going virtual! Additionally, we are expanding nationally and have secured some truly amazing panelists.
